Due date by date of conception?

Ok, so I know this is a stretch here, but I'm bored. I'm due with my third on Jan. 13th. My question is: is the date that I'll have this baby more accurate if I go by the date of conception? I was nursing my second son so wasn't getting my period yet. We went by date of conception to determine my EDD. I just wonder if it's more accurate to go by the actual day of conception instead of first day of last period.

Due date by date of conception?
It is more accurate if you actually know the date of your conception. But it is hard to know the exact date of conception. If you know when you ovulate each month then you should know. However if you do not know this then it could be a bit more difficult. Coz although you prob know when you had the sex which caused the pregnancy, you may not have ovulated until a couple days later, for example, so conception wouldn't have taken place until then. If that makes sense? The date you have should only be a couple weeks out at the most anyway, but working it out from the day of conception is actually slightly more acurate if you know that exact date.
Reply:nothing can really tell the date of conception.

they go by the size of the baby, how the baby grows and the doctors are never right about the date becouse not every baby grows the same. im sure they changed the due date many times.

each time i had a ultersound they would change my date either add more or less days.

it even went so far as having the spinalbia test come back he had it after a 2 hr test they told me i was 2 weeks farter alog than they thought and that caused the test to be wrong.

and in the end they took him by c-section and way so concerned becouse he was going to be a month early and in the end he was full term healthy and on time .so thet were wrong by awhole month they had to tell us after scaring us to death they were wrong about my dates as they were all thru my pregnancy becouse i had a period my first month.

the baby will come when hes ready not all babys need to wait the 40 weeks it determings how fast he grows and becomes ready.

so no you cant tell by date of conception nothing really can tell so if a dr. tells you they can that bulls**t and he knows it
Reply:Doctors always go by the date of your last menstrual period (LMP). Since you didn't have a LMP, the most accurate would probably be by ultrasound measurement... And this is more accurate in the beginning of pregnancy than toward the end.

I did find an internet due date calculator that goes by date of conception, if you want to try it... See source...

Good luck with your birth experience... From another nursing mom!
