What makes a date a "DATE"?

So...

this attractive member of the male species and I went out for dinner the other night.

it was just the two of us, he picked me up, he paid, and he walked me home.

i would like to call it a "date," but i don't really know if he considered it a "date" or just an agreeable outing of two friends.

was this a date?

if it was, or actually, even if it wasn't, what causes an outing between two people become a "date" rather than two friends enjoying each other's company?

What makes a date a "DATE"?
It depends on WHAT you did... Is it the usual "every weekend night out," or did someone ask the other out?

If it's a usual thing, then it isn't a date.

If not.... it was probably a date. Just as long as there was some sort of different contact than usual or difference.

If you're not so sure about what he thinks, ask him if he had fun the other time and kinda lean toward the conversation until he says something that means that he thought of it as a date.
Reply:if each person knew it was a date

BTW

its pretty much always a date when ur with a guy

it also depends on if ur good friends or more like ppl who just kno each other
Reply:It sounds like a date to me, wheter you both agree or not. Dates don't have to be romantic, it could be just a regular hanging out thing.
