Who is the father? conception date?

I had sex with a man on June 17th, 2007 (which would mean a due date of March 13, 2008) - one night stand.





I'm not sure when my the date of my period was in June, but it was earlier in the month, so I was likely fertile during this time.





My current boyfriend and I had sex from July 1 onward. I had a period in July. I understand that women can have implantation bleeding, and I am not sure if this was the case. The date of conception predicted by the 10 week ultrasound is July 25.





My due date is April 21, 2008, according to the 10 week ultrasound.





I have had an 18 week ultrasound and the baby was measuring correctly for 18 weeks. I had a 25 week check-up, and my tummy is measuring at the right size for 25 weeks.


I still feel nervous that with such a short time between the dates, that I could be pregnant with the baby of the man with whom I had a 1 night stand.





Could the dates be off by 5 weeks? Could I be 30 weeks pregnant or is my current bf the father?

Implantation bleeding is very light and not really at all like a normal period unless you are one of those lucky women that has extremely light periods. It would be very rare for an ultrasound to be off by five weeks so I wouldn't worry about it at all. Good luck.

Reply:ultrasounds measure the baby and the uterus and should not be off by 5 weeks. Even if the baby was a little different in size then most babies it still would not be off that much. Many women who don't know when they conceived have ultrasounds done to find out how far along they are.....if ultrasounds were that incorrect they wouldn't use this option. I would say that you are safe in figuring the baby is your current boyfriends

if you had a period, that was not really light, but normal flow, and the ultrasound and estimated conseption date as it stands that is three things pointing it to be you current BF so relax at worst when the baby comes you can have a paternity test but it really sounds like your boyfriend's.

Reply:At 10 wks an ultrasound can give you the date of conception within 3 days. So, they told you July 25, then it could be July 22-28th. But not 5 weeks off.
Reply:It sounds likely that your boyfriend is the father, however...that's a question that only a paternity test can answer.
Reply:i dont think they can be off, not by 5 weeks...but you will hav these paronoid thoughts untill you find out for sure and the only way is dna.... unless when babes is born you may ... such a joy full time and you have this burden...take care and good luck

Reply:If you had a period in July, then you are pregnant by your bf (as long as you weren't cheating on him that month with someone else, of course). Ultrasounds are very accurate when predicting how far along you are. By the way, implantation bleeding is only slight staining for a portion of a day. If your period seemed normal, it was. Relax. It sounds like you have nothing to worry about. If you're that worried, you can always test your bf and baby (after he/she is born) to confirm paternity.
