Would you date an Asian man?

My friends (most of them are not Asian) and I have a fun little debate going on concerning whether or not non-Asian women would date Asian men. Having dated non-Asian ladies, I believe much of that is dictated by age (generation) and where you were raised. So here are my questions for you beautiful ladies:

1) Age?

2) Ethnicity?

3) Where did you grow up?

4) Have you dated an Asian male in the past?

5) Would you date one in the future?

6) If you answered "No" to either 4 or 5, what's the reasoning?

Would you date an Asian man?
1) do i hav 2??

2)irish (if u saw me u wouls not believe me)

3) in Maryland

4)no

5)yes

6) an asian man hant evr asked me out
Reply:Nope, probably because i am a man
Reply:I work with an Asian man that I can't stand.
Reply:Nope, actually I wouldnt.

But I married an Asian Women.
Reply:Nope, but I'm flattered you asked.
Reply:Alright, lets get it going:

1) 21

2) Black and Dominican/Cuban

3) Southern California

4) Yep, He was half fillipino and half white

5) Definitely, we had a blast while we were together

6) Answered yes so...

Date question?

What would you think if someone of the opposite sex came up to you holding a box of dates and said "Can I offer you a date?" or "If I offered you a date, would you accept?" Do you think this would be funny or would you be offended? How would you react?

Date question?
i would be slightly confused but i might still accept haha.
Reply:I would love it! Especially if he asked me the first one "Can I offer you a date" while holding out a box of real dates. That shows he has a sense of humor and originality. I seriously would love it.
Reply:if i liked you i would think that it was funny and cute but if i didn't like you i wold just think that you were a weird-o
Reply:id say av you bin smokin crack or suttin get a life you ***** freak ;)
Reply:It honestly depends on the other person humor. IF you think they like funny stuff or do you think they would be offended by it? Its really up too you
Reply:aw so cute =)
Reply:id probably be offended that that is the way they would ask, but then give them my number and tell them "lets chat, loser" in a playful/flirty way. but actually mean the loser part. that way we are both happy! lol. :P
Reply:I would think its sweet, but how about this one. " Excuse me, would you happen to have any raisins?" After she says no ask,"How about a date." Heres another one. walk by and say,"I'm sorry were you talking to me?" After she or he says no then say,"Well then can you please start?"

My due date does not coincide with my last menstrual cycle?

I am positive when my last period was as I planned my pregnancy, but when I had my sonogram they said that they had to go by how much the baby measured to determine a due date. I am due on February 1st, which per my calculation my due date would have been in the mid of February, so basically they took off two weeks. Has anyone ever experienced this and if so, was the baby closer to the date the doctor's chose or your date?

My due date does not coincide with my last menstrual cycle?
Well I know that I read someting in a site about your actual due date would be like that. I went to web md and found out somethings that were pretty interesting. My husband and I are trying. It said some where that your pregnancy is actually 42 weeks not 40. The doctors go back all the way to the last day of your last menstral cycle. So you might want to ask your doctor what made him decide that the day they told you was the approximate delivery day.
Reply:the ultra sound is going to be the one to go by, unless you have a freakishly huge baby or something. sometimes, you concieve then can have a spotting period, or you could have confused implantation bleeding as a period. But I would go by what your doctor says. They are usually right. Mine was twice, We will see about a third in January.
Reply:Just remember that the baby comes when it is ready anyway. You might still end up having the baby in the middle of Feb, especially if this is the first.

You might have it in the middle of Jan.

You really don't have any control
Reply:When I was pregnant with my 2 child I had gotten pregnant on Feb. 14Th, and figure I would have the baby sometime in Nov. I went to doc. they said DEC 12Th. My son birthday is Nov 21. With my first on my due date was May 26 but I had him April 23. that is when I thought it I would have the baby. So know this not all test are right and Doc. make mistakes. So don't worry to much about it when the baby's ready it will come.
Reply:There is usually 2 dates the Dr's go by.....the date of LMP (last menstural period) and the gestational age of the baby, which is when they estimate the date you possibly concieved. Never the less....there's usually only about a 2 weeks difference in them.
Reply:My due dates have never changed from the original estimation based on my last period, but I had a friend who had hers changed 2 times based on measurements from ultrasounds. After a certain point in the pregnancy the doctor will not change your due date, no matter how big or small the baby is.
Reply:OKay i had something similar..When I found out I was pregnant I was told I was 10 weeks..

I was due dec 11th but then I went in for my U/S and the doc said I was actaully due on the 9th Jan?

But by the date of my last period I should have been due in Dec?

I dont know why but thats just the way it worked out..

Good Luck!
Reply:Some cycles are 28 days and some or 30 days - you have to figure out which - you could be off a few days that way. The doctors can be wrong - but you could have been pregnant 2 weeks before your last cycle. (Your cycle is just an indicator that you are pregnant.) All three times my doctors were pretty much on target.
Reply:This happened with me. I didn't plan my pregnancy but I know when everything happened. A lot of my friends have also had this problem. Most of them said that the sonogram was two weeks off from their calculations and one of my friends doctors and sonograms were a month off. My doctor goes with the sonogram but I'm still going with the original due dates that he and I discussed before the sonogram. I don't know if my personal information helped you any but I hope it helped some.
Reply:Yes, I knew the exact date he was conceived. They said he was due 2 weeks earlier then I thought (feb 1st. also). He was born Feb 14th. Ultimately it doesn't matter all that much as long as the baby is healthy, right? Kinda cool to have him on V-Day though.
Reply:its not uncommon for this to happen. alot of times the due date it way off. a friend of mine didnt have her baby until 4 weeks after her due date!! scary huh. mine were planned also and both came on their due dates but only after my dates were changed a few times

Contarct exchange date (UK)?

I am buying a property and have received contract, mortgage deed, transfer deed and land transaction form from my solicitor for sign-off. I noticed that he hasn't specified agreement date and completion date on the contract and asked me not to put any date in the contract. He has also requested a cheque for amount, which is less than my mortgage deposit. Any idea if this is all normal? I was told completion date is 15 Feb.

Contarct exchange date (UK)?
This is perfectly normal. You just need to sign the forms and return them to your solicitor.

This is how the process works, exchange of contracts happen over the phone but to enable your solicitor to do that he needs to have the sined contract in front of him. He should have explained that to you. Even though you have signed the contract, it doesn't mean that you are committed to the purchase. On the day of exchange, he will call you to make sure that you do want to go ahead with the purchase and confirm the completion date. He will then telephone your vendor's soliciors and exchange contracts. He will then call you to tell you excahnge has occured and from that point you are legally bound to complete.

The moey that he is asking for is the deposit monies that you need to hand over on exchange. This is usually 10% of the purchase price or sometimes 5% if you are obtaining 95% mortgage.

With regard to the other documents that you need to sign, once you have completed these they need to go to various places, like the land registry and also the inland revenue. You have only a short period from completion in which to register your purchase and I'm guessing because the compeltion date is very near, he wants these back as soon as possible or you can be fined.

The mortgage deed needs to be explained to you by a solicitor so i would have thought that he would ask you to come into his office to sign that so I would call him and make sure.

God luck, hope it all goes well

Animal crossing: Wild World date won't change...?

I brought a used animal crossing ds game on ebay last week and it arrived yesterday. I deleted the old town and started my own. Every thing was going great and I paid off my first mortgage, and bought enough items in the shop for it to be remodeled the second day, Febuary 1st. untill today. I logged back on, and I couldn't put any money in the second mortgage. I went to the shop, and although there was a bulletin, and Tom Nook told me that the shop was closing, it was still open. The items were the same as yesterday. I checked the date, and although the time was correct, the date still said, thursday, january 31st..... I checked my ds time, ( I got that recently on ebay too, so maybe the problem is with the ds?) but it said the correct date. I removed the cartridge, and reverified the date on the ds, but the game date was the same. I checked nintendo's website, but there was nothing. What's wrong, and what can I do to change it? Or if I can't, is there a possibility of me returning it

Animal crossing: Wild World date won't change...?
I'd say returning the game is not going to happen as you bought it on ebay. Did you try changing the date in the ds' settings and seeing if that changes the date in the game. It will at least let you know which side is the problem. If the date on your nintendo changes and the game doesn't it's the game.
Reply:Hmmm Tricky One.....

Heres My Best Answer

1. When you log in don't click your person.

2. Click the phone and wait.

3. Press "Reset Clock" when it appears.

4. Do it to the date your on again.

There is another possible way. Maybe your game has a glitch. I suggest you never buy from Ebay again and buy a new Animal Crossing Game.

Date on Gatorade bottle?

I bought a Gatorade today from a gas station. I just took a drink and it tasted funny. I looked at the date on the bottle it states APR 23 07 - is this the "born on" date or the exp date?

Date on Gatorade bottle?
Exp date. Powerade is better in my opinion.
Reply:Expriration date.
Reply:It's the date when it was bottled. Gatorade does not have a use by date yet. They are only thinking about use one.
Reply:it the exp date. that gas stations that aren't popular usually have stuff that haven't been sold yet. like that gatorade wasn't sold since dec or eariler
Reply:experation date

Should I date others, or just break up with him?

I found out a few days ago that the guy I'm seeing asked another girl out on a date. We've only been seeing each other for a few weeks, but he told me he wasn't interested in dating anyone else, even when I made it clear that it would be ok as long as he is up front with me about where things are at (and of course that would mean that I take things lighter with him as well). Well he said absolutely not.

Here's the catch - I'm not supposed to know, so I can't confront him on this. The person who told me asked me not to say anything because he is afraid it will cause conflict between them (he is a family member). He showed me proof - the actual date hasn't happened, but he still asked.

Friends say we've only been seeing each other for a few weeks %26amp; that I shouldn't take this seriously anyway. Others say go out with other guys, even though I also said I didn't want to date anyone else either. A couple of them say I should just dump him and move on.

What do you say?

Should I date others, or just break up with him?
who do you believe? the one who told you or your guy?

the date hasn't happened yet.. so dont be too rash on making decisions.. give him the benefit of the doubt...

if he pushes through with the date without telling you.. then your dude is lying..

when that happens dump him.. a guy who can't keep a promise on which he insisted upon isn't worth spending time with..
Reply:give it a chance, it is new to both of you..
Reply:The thing is what do you feel about him? If you can't believe what he says to you and believ someone else instead, what's the point? Try to see what he wants, where he stands, you can do it, as we can all. No matter what happens though don't ever date someone else, because he may did. Did it cross your mind that his relative that gave you that info could be lying for his own sick reasons? These things happen you know! So talk to him if you see anything different with his manners and behavior. If you find out anything at all that you don't like just leave, it's just a few weeks after all.

Be careful not to hurt yourself or him, by any rush!

Good luck

Asian girls dislike blacks, only date white interracially?

It appears as though most asian girls that date interracially will only date caucasian males. I hear many reasons why they won't date blacks, but the reasons are usually demeaning ideas portrayed by society (or their parents) without a dating experience. I hear that most southeast asians perfer caucasian because they dislike they darker skin tone, and want to become lighter. Is it because asian women want what they feel are the highest members in society? Most of the time, the asian girls that will date blacks only do it for the s*x, never a relationship. Is it because asians feel that blacks have a low status in society? Is it because many asians girls assimilate into the western culture through media? I need answers, and no excuses without dating experience from a decent black man.

Asian girls dislike blacks, only date white interracially?
OHHHHH MAN - good topic! hahaha well, asian mentality is...kinda weird (i should know and CAN say it because i'm an asian girl with immigrant parents so i know that mentality you're talking about). Pretty much, i know that asian cultures with darker tone (brown) tend to go for people with fair complexion (white) because it symbolizes "superiority) - if you look back on history, the civilizations that have conquered some of those asian nations were spanish, american, or european. "Fair/white" skin is always a sign of being "rich" and privilage" and some asian people are very shallow (in my opinion) in which they will find someone who's white just so they can have kids that are "half" - you can say some asian people are just ashamed of their color. But then again, there are some asian girls i know in which color means nothing. My niece is half black/asian and i think she is just as beautiful as any kid - mixed or not mixed. personally, i don't give a f*** about having lighter skin or hooking up with a white guy just so i could be better than certain people - it's such an old school asian mentality.

HOPE I HELPED! :)
Reply:Of course some Asian women date black men and some people out in the wold probubly drink urine the point is most do not date black men they date other races more frequently and it has to do with skin color I was told by my Asian friends. Report It

Reply:Some Asian girls date black guys too,but there are more WM/AW couples
Reply:I don't think it's a problem. I would date a black person, (I'm asian) as long as I like them. And yes, I got darker after too many trips to the beach and pools, and I'd have to admit that I'd like it a tad bet better when I was back to my normal beloved old ... ok, I'm drifting off to a different subject.
Reply:An Asian woman married my black Cousin, but they don't have children.
Reply:I just doesn't catch their fancy. Why do I feel less inclined to pursue black women than I do white women? I don't know, and I really don't care.
Reply:When will people realize that race should not even be an issue. If they wont date a black man because of ideas portrayed by society, then there is something wrong with them. The color of someones skin does not make them who they are, what really counts is what is in the inside.
Reply:Yes asian girls are pretty much brainwashed by the media. The western culture dominates the media, therefore they see a lot of white guys everywhere and all the time.

Asian girls dont go for whites only. There are some that like hispanic guys, indians, etc... There are some asians that love black guys. So dont give up your hopes!
Reply:You've just about covered the whole thing yourself but as you said yourself don't stereotype. Its for the same reason that most myths are based on a sliver of truth. But I'd say more than anything else its how the media portrays blacks. Heck Black people usually stereotype themselves. Like everything else there are circumstances where non of this applies. Usually its when a person of any color is prosperous and holds a decent job and has what everybody wants just because whites fit that category more is the reason it appears that blacks or any other race doesn't seem to measure up!
Reply:Prejudice is real. Status is real. I'm sorry that good people have to overcome obstacles. I spent 22 years in therapy getting over my mental obstacles.

I didn't make this up, I have observed it, as have you.
Reply:free country = people can be with who they want.
Reply:Why is race always an issue? I think white men have GREAT sex! Black men don't rock the boat by themselves in that area! And you can't speak for ALL Asians. You can only go by what you see in your area! I rarely see Asians without Asians. I know one who dated a Mexican and was disowned by her family! So, you do not have a valid question. You are being small minded!
Reply:dude. get a life! its the own individuals personal preference! gosh!

Do you date others after marriage?

I am doing it and ok to do it. but want to get some feedback from others, (especially from the female members here). Are you ok to date after marriage and ok to date a person (men/women) who is married?

I found this Q irrelevant in US as no one ask any personal question when you meet in a bar or club etc. But in India, the introduction to anyone new are mostly personal and i am hesitant to propose to many about this.

Please don't give me answers like 'what if your spouse does this' like that. I respect the 'private space' of my spouse/kids and every one.

It is not about 'date' which has committments for future relationship, it is purely 'casual dates' with like minded partners.

Do you date others after marriage?
u being married ...... u hav your spouse to date... .y do u need some one else for dating purpose. In a consservative country like india, once you start dating.... commitment will be a necessity and if you cannot commit, things can get messy so be prepared to face all that mess and problems if dating w/o commitment is on your mind. In a country like india to find a person with htat kind of clarity is very difficult. Tread carefully as this could be very complicated, problematic and messy.
Reply:First i'd be enjoying my freedom going out and having fun with the girls but i wouldn't date a married man.
Reply:i think ur mom have dating with many of them after marriage that's what this question arised for urself and now u r confused to think of ur that who is ur real father......oh! don't be sad i will give u a good idea go and ask ur mom with how many people she have dated get their address and find ur father with ur facecut.i think the girl who marry u will get aids..i am so sad of that girl
Reply:Although I don't think you should date someone if you are already married. I think it is OK to have friendships with other people, Male or female if you are married provided your partner ( wife/ husband) and you are honest about your relationships with other people.

Your marriage may not have been your choice, but the best thing to do is be honest with your partner about who your seeing and why. Just don't start an interment relationship with the other people your seeing. Adultery is not acceptable in any society.
Reply:though im not married bt will say no
Reply:WHY?
Reply:yes u can do date after the marriage until your wife dont know it
Reply:You want to go back to stone age. Marriage is for civilised people. Even in most of the western countries Adultery is a crime. If husband and wife start dating others with or with out the knowledge of their life partners, then there will not be difference between humans and beasts.
Reply:Thats so messed up for you to ask that question ask your spouse!
Reply:If i get a chance why not........
Reply:wtf is wrong with you sicko? go date your wife!
Reply:Asking a question like you've posed on a site that's dominated by USA folks will get you a lot of judgmental answers based on what the custom and practice is in the USA and other Western countries.

Most of the people who are married would not be okay with their spouse dating another person as it is an indication that you are no longer regarding them as the number one person in the relationship. But you are in a different country that may have different attitudes.

What you seem to be talking about is what we would call a platonic relationship, in which sexual attraction plays no part whatsoever, the relationship is instead based entirely on an intellectual level. So the question is whether it is okay to meet and talk to a person other than your wife or husband for the sole purpose of conversation or some other kind of mutual interest with the certain knowledge that this kind of relationship will not go beyond that boundary.

Still, it seems important to first discuss and gain approval from your spouse and abide by their decision.

If you have a relationship of mutual trust and have been honest in your intentions to abide by the fundamental principle that the engagement is solely for conversation and will not lead to further attraction, then there should be no problem.

The key is trust. In my working career, also my wife's career, we both had occasion to meet and have dinner with others to discuss business. But I do have to admit that this can also lead to temptations that were not originally contemplated so there is alway that risk which can creep up on you.

Generally speaking, it is perhaps better to have these kinds of meetings during the day in a very public place to lessen the chance of going beyond the originally intended purpose.
Reply:Never before and after marriage as I never required that.
Reply:do it if your conscious allow
Reply:If you still want to 'date' then what is the point in getting married at all
Reply:so, your asking if it's ok to cheat? in any circumstances if there are no strings attatched? no. there is no way that it is ever ok to cheat. even if it is only casual, it's cheating. it cheapens your marriage, and your life. it makes you into nothing more than a player who happens tohave one supposedly commited relationship, commited means commited. you are commited to your spouse, meaning no one but them. if you can't handle that, then marriage isn't for you.
Reply:when you are married in the church, it is a big NO. you promised each one infront of many people and in the eyes of the Loard to be faithful till death do you part. So stand with it. Even though you have no plans after the date, the male already have it. he will do the next move until the date will be repeated. Only to find out ur already cheating your partner. you want to quit but its already done. the scar is there. So never, never attempt to have a date especially to the opposite sex. after marriage

Date question?

I went out on a date last night and i haven't been on a date in over a year. I'm 24 and a mom. Well he told me he was going to be busy this week @ work and that he wants to bug me on the phone. He also kept me in front of my house for almost an hour just talking and smiling. There was no kiss I don't kiss on a first date but i gave him a fat hug.

I don't know if i sent the wrong message, i told him i like him a lot and to bug me. Does it sound like he wants to see me again or just be friends? Or looking for a way to dodge this crazy girl?

Date question?
. Wait and see if he bugs you. With phone calls.I think he will and pester the life out of you.Your behavior was quite proper and the fact he hung about for an hour,is promising

Ladies: Weird vibe on a date. Did i get hosed or was she just shy?

So I met a girl from a dating site. On her profile she did mention that she can be shy/quiet/serious at first.

Well on our date she seemed very quiet. She didn't ask me many questions on the date, the whole date basically consisted of me attempting to drive the conversation. When I did get her talking, she did seem engaged, but if we weren't talking she would just stare at the table. She seemed somewhat tired on the date, and i asked her and she said that she was after a long work week.

After we finished our food I asked her if she wanted to go get a cup of coffee down the street. She politely delined and said she's going to go home. So while we walked to the bus stop I asked her if she wanted to go out again and she responded with "yes, definitely." I thought this was weird since i felt she didn't like me 100%. I was honest with her and said that I was surprised and I felt she didn't like me based on the date. She said "oh that's just me"

Ladies: Weird vibe on a date. Did i get hosed or was she just shy?
I would see how it goes after a little while and if she doesn't warm up, I would just drop her. You want a woman who is so intrigued with you she cannot help but stare at you and be near you. I wouldn't want to be with anyone that I'd have to guess what they want, how they feel, etc.

There is no security in this.

Best before date?

Okay, we've had a major disagreement with food..the best before date means 1) you must eat it before that date or 2) you must cook it before that date and can eat it after..yuck.. I know cows aren't stamped with a magic date but...

Best before date?
It means that the taste , texture , color etc, are maintained best --- till that date only.

You may eat it later on too --- but it [food] might not look or taste as good/great as it would have, if eaten earlier.
Reply:I would say 'Best Before' would mean eat before that date.
Reply:Best before date: Usually means it is recommended (advisable)you eat it before the given date.

You First Date?

What was your first date with someone like was it perfect was it bad was it the worst date ever.Tell us in your very own words what was your first date like and if you could go back and change what happen on that very first date what could you change

You First Date?
It's a long story!

My first real date was not with my first boyfriend.

I consider my first date with my husband when we were going out as boyfriend and girlfriend. We had known each other for around 4 -5 months.

We were teenagers and my husband asked me out to dinner at an expensive restaurant in Carlton (a suburb of Melbourne). It was an Italian restaurant which specialised in wild game and seafood. It must have been cold weather as I ordered minestrone soup (as I like soup) and Lobster Mornay.

First the soup came out and it had grated Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. (The heat of the soup increased the smell of the cheese which smelt a lot like vomit) I smiled and politely started eating the soup; half way through I bit into a hard object; on spitting it out into my serviette I found a small piece of wooden spoon. (We laughed)

Next the Lobster came out it also had melted cheese in the Mornay sauce, (also smelt like vomit) I thought”why oh why” did I order these dishes. I semi scraped the cheese of the top and ate the Lobster. At the time I wished I have ordered plain Lobster. I pretended I was having a great time however I felt bad for my husband as it was a very expensive meal and he could tell I wasn't happy. He asked me why I ordered both of those meals if I didn't like cheese. Not being Italian I didn't know it came served that way. It was still exciting and I mostly remember my enthusiasm at getting dress up it made me feel grown up, and making romantic conversation at a real dinner for 2.
Reply:years ago this guy asked me out. we met thru mutual friends. i agreed and met him on the arranged night. we went to the movies, where i had to PAY FOR MYSELF!!! he went in first and let the door slam in my face! i thought ok, we'll see how the night goes.......after the movies we went to a bar for a drink where i had to PAY FOR MY OWN DRINKS!!!!! i may be old fashioned, but if a guy asks you out i presume he is gonna pay!! anyway, after i finished my drink i told him i needed to use the bathroom then ran out of the bar!!!! THE WORST DATE EVER........LOL

Many of the girls I went to school with wanted to know who the girl was I was out with. And then I began dating some of them.

What I would change about it though if I could would be the fact that my parents were close by, keeping an eye on us. Even though none of those who saw us out that night saw my parents in the background.
Reply:My first date was great, still together.
Reply:WOW....Great question!! I have so many dating storied its unbelieveable!! I'll just give you a couple!

1) I asked a girl out in High School that I had liked for a while and we were friends before that. I picked her up and we decided to see a movie. So I picked her up and in the car on the way there I looked over at her while she was fixing her hair......YIKES! She was tying her hair behind her head and (bad choice) had decided to wear grey that day...yep a bad case of sweaty pits, weird thing was it wasnt localosed but you could see where the sweat had been running don on the inside of her top. So, fine - I thought it was a little rash to be worrying about that. So we arrived and for some reason sheinsisted on fixing her hair the whole time! Completely oblivious to the fact that it looked like she had been splashing water on her armpits!!

We saw eachother a couple more times, but ultimately no connection...

2) I hooked up with this girl and she asked me on a date. We went for a drink after I met her them oved venues to a different pub. As soon as we sat down she started kissing me!! I was like, what was that all about. She said she didnt like to wait! As it turned out she was thinking it was a "Lets get together and sleep together" type thing!! I was a little scared (should I be embarrassed about that?). So I said I had somewhere to be later and we could catch up another time. Needless to say we didnt! I didnt think there was much of a connection, but clearly she wasnt looking for a connection!

So, dating huh! Its a funny thing!
Reply:mine was G8!

Do you pay for date websites? Do they work? Adults only?

Im looking for a date and having no luck I was think about dating websites. But most of them are like $50 month is it worth it, like if it takes you 5 months is it worth spending $250 for a possable date?

There are also picture rating sites that if you want to chat with them you must be a member this cost less between $5-10 month but not really a dating siote so you maynever find someone with that. What works online and would you pay? Please only adults who used a dating service reply websites you tryed and recomend thanks!

Date Ideas?

I've been dating this guy for a few weeks now, and am looking for some fun and creative ideas for a date activity. We're both college students, so neither of us have a lot of money. We're actually looking for stuff to do that costs little or no money. We sometimes go on walks, we like to play boardgames together, we've taken some long car drives, and we've been to a few museums. I'm looking for creative ideas, not your typical "dinner and movie" type date.

Date Ideas?
Find out some local coffee shops that might have some shows. Or find local talent and see them. If you're in a big college town, there is usually lots of things to do. Or even google the town you live in, I'm sure you can find something there.
Reply:There is a place by where I live, I don't know if you have one in your area. It's called "Color Me Mine" It's where you go and pick out a peice of plain pottery and paint it however you want and then you go back a week later and pick it up. It's fun and you can even paint something that will be a gift for the other person.
Reply:mini-golf, bowling, cheap or free concerts, picnic, put on a puppet show. have fun
Reply:yoo eat kraft dinner together.. iunno random event.
Reply:Uhm.....go to a baseball game, basketball game, make fondue or a milkshake, watch a movie, watch re-runs of your favorite shows, things like that.
Reply:Volunteering together is fun and you get to see a different part of yourself. I went on a date to help a church organize their food pantry and we had a really good time. I was in charge of sorting creamed corn from regular corn. I remember and it was 1988.

Damn, I am old.
Reply:I went to a laser light show once that was awesome. It was relatively inexpensive.
Reply:Hiking is always fun! You said you already go walking, but if you can find a hike/bike trail, those are always lots of fun and usually either free or very inexpensive. Another fun "outdoors-y" idea is camping. If you have a campground within driving distance, you're golden - but, depending on your living situation (house, apartment), it's actually fun to "camp" in your own backyard! How about baking treats for your friends/family? Trying new recipes can be a lot of fun. If you drink, jello shots are always fun to make, and there are lots of really creative and yummy recipes available online.. and it doesn't take much to turn a board game into a drinking game! Volunteering is a good way to spend time together while also helping others - volunteermatch.org is an excellent website to find volunteer opportunities of all kinds, in all places. Good luck!

How about a DUE DATE opinion!!!! :)?

I have had 2 sonograms and both times I was given May 23 for my due date. (which is accurate with when I had intercourse on Sept. 1 and 2) My LMP was August 23 2007, by that date the EDD is May 29 which is only 6 days off from both sonograms, which I know is okay. Do you think there is any chance that I could have conceived on August 19 and still had a period? When I enter that date as my conception date it gives me a EDD of May 10th and no one has given me that early of a due date. I would just like some opinions of what you thought? Thanks! :)

How about a DUE DATE opinion!!!! :)?
go with your sonograms that is the most accurate. It is highly doubtful you got pregnant before having your period.
Reply:You can have a period when pregnant.

I kept track of all of my days, and I was to ovulate on Feb 14, 2008.

The doctor said that I did on the 12th, and went from there. I hate when they do stuff like this, but in a way I would just stick to what they say.

Ultrasounds are more reliable though.

Good luck!
Reply:Possibly, But those sonograms are usually pretty right.. They told me i was due the 16th of jan.. and SHe came on the 22nd instead.. Sooo.. It really all depends on when the baby wants to come out.. BUt you defiantly could have but Since you got a period you probably got pregnant in the beg. of sept.. Good luck with everything,
Reply:nope! I'd go by your LMP and your sonogram due date!! they are close enough!!!

The sonogram is the most accuate, your date of conception can be a little off b/c sperm can live in you for up to 5 days with out fertilization. but it seems like it is right for you anyways!!
Reply:forget your LMP, go off the sonogram there most accurate x
Reply:LMP is not always accurate because you don't ALWAYS ovulate a certain number of days afterward even with very regular cycles. Your BD dates and sonogram dates are much more reliable.

Should i date my guy freind?

well you see there is this guy who i thought was a total loser but then he began to turn my way of thinking around. he protects me from being hurt and he calls me all the time. He would basicly do anything for me. For a few months he has been asking me out and i have been playing hard to get in the back of my mid without realising it myself by dating his freinds. but i really realized 2 weeks ago that im falling for him. it would kinda ruin my rep if i dated him but i want to try a confidential relationship because i just jump right into relationships usually. he is really a sweet guy and everyone thinks we are flirting(and we are) a problem is my mom doesnt like that i think of dating him cause he is not of our faith. I know it shouldnt matter but it does to my parents and they wont change their minds. WHAT SHOULD I DO! and the faith thing really is a problem like i cant just say "screw it" im really not sure of my feelings for him and want to wait till summer to date.

Should i date my guy freind?
The faith thing does matter. Maybe not so much if you don't believe the same things as your parents, but if you believe also it affects every aspect of your life. What it will all come down to is your faith and your end of being hurt and so will he
Reply:Does he like you back??? You should find out that first, if you don't know. If he does like you, he sounds like he could be really good for you. He cares about you and looks out for you. There's nothing better than ending up with your best friend! And it helps that you were friends first. When the time is right, subtly let him know....
Reply:i don't know how old you are but you should follow your own heart if you think you should date him then i think you should, the faith thing is an issue but at the end of the day lost of people go outside there faith and end up with people who have total opposite faiths then them, your dating someone you want not someone your parents want, i don't mean to sound harsh but from personal experience if you date people or someone your parents want you to date you wont be happy because your doing it for them and not you.
Reply:umm yeah...

love is love, and organized religion is feh.

but i'd try something on the down-low, and if it doesn't work WELL there it won't stand the storm.
Reply:you sould date me
Reply:girl....i have been in the exact same situation right now.......the faith thing is holding u back...huh...me too...
Reply:If you like him Go for it!! I think its a good thing he didn't give up. Take it slow!

Good luck.
Reply:Friends are forever. Do you really want to lose that?
Reply:If you really like him and want your parents to know that he's really not that different, invite him over to dinner with your parents so they could meet him and if he's really ok then they might change their mind.
Reply:ir u really like him and u think the time is right than go for it!!! life's to short to not take risks....besides guy friends are usually the best bf
Reply:you should totally go for him...take it from someone who is going through the same thing..except...im the one that he wont go out with bc we're good friends...and its really hurtin me like hardcore...and i mean i aint goin threw the who faith thing which i totally respect tho! but my dude is athiest! but i dont think that it should matter and i understand your parents but..if the guy is a sweetheart and you like him..then you shouldnt let something stand in the way..as long as you guys dont like fight over your faiths..but i totally respect what your parents are saying! but i think you should definatly try things with him!
Reply:how would dating him ruin ur rep? ( one thing that struck out at me) if its a popularity thing then... "insert fart noise here"

hmm faith well you dont have to "screw" ur faith or he his just respect each other and alot of people live happy lives like that anyways
Reply:If you want to wait to date then dothat, wait. Stay friends for now,but stop dating his friends, thats got to be hard for him even if he doesn't say anything. If you value his friendship stop hurting him, because you are when you do things like that. As far as the faith thing that will have to work itself out. Depending on how old you are, maybe soon you won't need you parents permission.

Can a creditor change the date of last acitivity to the date you filed bankruptcy on you credit report.?

once the date was changed the items stays on my repiort longer. I also had an account on my report reflecting the date of last acitvity to be 12-2000 and when the 7 years was reach it came off came back on the following month with the date of last activity changed to my bankruptcy date. is it against the law to change dates and remove items and put them back on.

Can a creditor change the date of last acitivity to the date you filed bankruptcy on you credit report.?
Yes that is illegal. It's called reaging and is a violation of the FCRA. They are just asking for a $1000 lawsuit.
Reply:It's probably illegal. You should write in to the credit reporting agencies to contest the date change.
Reply:Try to use google to find some related links or you could try to use answer engines like yahoo answer or answer.com to find some relevant questions. If you like some direct resource, here is a good one from my own experience.http://creditreport.onlineidea.info/annu...

I wanna date the best friend of my would-be date! This is trouble!?

I had asked this one girl, Amanda, out on a double date. I called her 20 min.s before I was to pick her up, and she informs me that she was called in to work and wouldn't be available to go with me. I told the other couple, and my friend urged me to get a different date. I called a bunch of other girls, but they didn't answer. That was all last Saturday. Then on the following Monday, one of the girls I had called, Angie, asked me why I had called (her mom had answered the phone and then told her about it). I merely told her my friend needed a double. She said, "Oh man! I totally would have gone with you, but I was already at a basketball game!" I told her that the next time I was gonna go on a double date I would ask her. So then Amanda texted me the next day saying, 'Prom is on the 28th!'

Now I'm feeling not so interested in Amanda, and more interested in Angie. I'm thinking more of taking Angie to Prom...the only problem: these two are good friends! What do I do?

I wanna date the best friend of my would-be date! This is trouble!?
Not a good idea to mess with best friends. The other one will feel rejected not just by you, but by the best friend too. This may cause her to become mad enoiugh to break you guys up ANY way she can.

I have never seen this work out good.

Today is my due date.. no baby?

ok so today is my due date and still no baby!! i have a doctor appt today.. and they told me last week if he wasnt here by my due date we would set up a date to be induced.. how long do they schedule it for.. i mean do they schedule for a few days.. for weeks or what.. i have a friend who was induced like 3 or 4 days after due date.. and my ideal day to be induced is friday.. because my mom comes saturday to help me out at home with the baby.. and my boyfriends parents live a couple hours away so the weekend is the best time his dad can get off of work to come see the baby.. so im just curious when they usually book the date.

Today is my due date.. no baby?
Try eating some hot wings, I went into labor 12 hours after I ate them. I know it's an old wives tale but it couldn't hurt. Good Luck!
Reply:they will set the date up today for in a couple of days. so friday seems ideal. if not. then moday for sure. its not good for the bay to be in there too long.
Reply:i was induced 2 weeks after my due dates with my last 2 kids
Reply:Have you started dilating yet? That will tell you a good bit about the time for delivery. Nothing bad is going to happen if you don't have the baby on the due date. The doctor may have missed the onset date of your pregnancy. Babies know when the time is right to be born. Relax! There won't be much time for that after the baby comes.
Reply:Do you know what is involved with induction? For the majority of women, induction is not fun because it is not natural. You may end up in labour for days, you may have a fast unnatural labour that causes more damage than a normal labour.

Your due date is an estimate only of when your baby will come, it does not guarantee when it is ready.

Unless you are 10-14 days overdue, please do not rush things.
Reply:They won't let you go past 2 weeks over your due date. They will probably schedule it for 10 days and hope the baby comes on its own beforehand.
Reply:I would not worry too much, I had one 10 days early, one 5 days late, one 9 days late and one started on the 4th day late just as they were about to induce.

Your baby will know when it is ready. Its cosy in there and safe. Get your sleep while you have the chance, you will need your energy later. Congratulations by the way.
Reply:i really think that it all depends on your doctor and their schedule and a little on what you ideally want. i was induced jan 31st, and i was 5 days late. i really wanted the baby here but now that he is i am so happy that he stayed in there as long as possible, it seems to be that he is having an easier time catching on to things than our friends babies who were early. but that is just what i THINK i do not know for sure that that is the reason, but the doctors say it has a lot to do with it! good luck and congrats!
Reply:You can ask them to schedule it for Friday.

My friend had to wait 2 weeks before her dr. would schedule her induction. But when she went in for that last appointment ( 1wk 5 days after due date), they scheduled it the next day.

So.. idk. it depends on your dr. and your pregnancy.
Reply:It's usually up to your Dr and when they can get you scheduled for as to when they will do it. When I was induced, I went in on a Mon to "talk" about it(was 41wks) and I was in there at 5am Tues. the next morning to start the procedure. They will usually do an ultrasound to check for enough fluid around the baby and monitor the baby's heartrate and response to stimuli.(You just sit in a chair and they strap the baby monitor on you) Based on that your Dr will decide how fast it needs to be done. Sometimes, if everything looks good your Dr might be willing to wait longer. In my personal experience though(I have 5 babies) the one I was induced on hurt 100% more and was unbearable. I literally ripped my own arms to shreds trying to get a handle on the pain. With induced labor you don't have your body's own natural flow, it's a forced flow that just keeps coming on you and it's harder and just really not fun. My naturally went into labor births were MUCH easier and the babies did alot better so if you don't have to be induced don't. I know it's hard especially when you are going over your estimated date of Delivery, but those dates can be off up to two weeks so it's possible that your baby isn't even fully ready for another week or two.
Reply:My friend was also induced a week after her due date. I thinkit ijust depends. Good luck though an congratulations!!
Reply:I don't really like induction at all. It makes contractions come faster, closer together, and makes them more intense. The baby will come when the baby comes, they can be pretty stubborn.

Help! I have a date tomorrow in Germany!?

Okay, I'm American and I'm currently living in Germany. Someone has asked me on a date for tomorrow night, but I'm not sure what German date etiquette is! What is customary for a first date? Should I expect him to pay, should I offer, is it rude for me to offer or not offer? We just met yesterday at a pub, and he asked me via e-mail. How should I greet him? How does the date normally end?

Basically I'm clueless about dating in Germany, and I'd like some general tips...

Thanks!!

Help! I have a date tomorrow in Germany!?
I think its thesame customs as American customs. I dont think theres much of a big difference. Just be yourself
Reply:know where you're going, make sure it's in a public place, tell friends and relatives where you will be going, get their license plate and check them out thoroughly before you go out. Be sure and take your credit card (in case you get stuck paying, or in case you have to get a cab to get yourself home) and take a phone card with you in case you need to call for friends. Since you met at a pub he may think you drink a lot and either try to make you drink again (don't do it) or put something in your drink. Be very careful. These are the rules for dating anyone new, not just for Germany. It would have been better if he asked you in person instead of by email. A person writing email could be anyone, maybe not him. Save the email and the ISP from it for future reference. Why not have a friend follow you there from a distance?
Reply:He invited you...he pays. End the date with a handshake unless things have gone very well and you are comfortable enough to go for the kiss goodnight.
Reply:Don't worry about the diferences and etiquette. Just be yourself. If he likes you or doesn't like you, at least it's for you.
Reply:first when you finish kiss him and it will be a good start to continue i think so

Had first date, now what?

So I need all the advice I can get! First of all i was set up on a date with this guy by some people we both know and I thought it would be awkward but I heard he was really interested in me and he shows that he is really interested in me! Here is the thing...we had our first date the other night and I was at my cousins birthday party for a little bit before and accidentally got a little buzzed...I am not a drinker at all...it is very rare that you will see me drinking but i feel so horrible that i was like that on our first date. He knows I never drink ..We had a great date and talked a lot and we have a lot in common but i can't help but feel terrible about it and feel like i have ruined my chance with him..I appologized and he said to not worry about it he had fun. But what do you think I should do now? Me being the girl I am I cant stop thinking about him and the great connection we had and I just hope i didn't ruin my chance with him..what do you all think? Does he think im crazy?

Had first date, now what?
no he just knows that you just got a little drunk its ok, u didnt ruin anything
Reply:This happens to the best of us! I'm sure he will overlook this as a freak incident and not worry. If he doesn't call you for another date, consider him too judgmental! Be careful on your next date so you don't get intoxicated. A little buzz isn't the end of the world, but if you do something like throw up in his car, then he'd probably never want to see you again!
Reply:Sounds like a really nice guy, dont worry about it you did nothing wrong.
Reply:Just chill a couple days to give him time to decide if he wants to get together again. If he liked you, he liked you.
Reply:nah, its not like your a alcoholic so dont sweat it, it probably helped lighten up the mood, just think of it this way, do you think ou would of been talking so much if you werent buzzed, think of the awkward silences
Reply:Dont stress about it too much and try to keep your mind occupied!
Reply:No i think youll be fine. You should get together with him again, and maybe explain what happened that night when you were wasted. He will probly understand, and you guys can move onto your relationship
Reply:I don't think he thinks you're crazy..lol..although, I would think the same thing. You probably drank a bit thinking it would relax you before your date with him. I'm sure he had a good time and is anticipating the next date with you as you sit there and wonder tonight....give it some time, he'll call!

Upgrade to date ww? downgrade to date bw?

how come it's considered an upgrade for a bm to date a ww, but when i wm dates a bw, it's considered a downgrade or dating "beneath himself?"

Upgrade to date ww? downgrade to date bw?
Dude I've never heard of that and I'm sure you've hurt someones feelings.
Reply:lol never heard of that, I thought black men that did that says

bm/ww upgrade

bm/bw downgrade

I never knew white men had anything to do with that.

Most people don't care about bw/wm, heck they didn't even give a d@mn back during slavery, why care now..

Now THEY REALLY CARE ABOUT BM/WW, even back then if a black man messed with a white woman he was lynched(by that white man)

BTW

The black men that think that way have mental issues, don't they know they just called EVERY black woman in their family(including their mother) low-class?
Reply:I have heard this before and I think it stems from the racist ideas and practices that go back centuries ago here in the USA. Im a black woman who dates white men and I NEVER feel its an upgrade to date white men..... an upgrade from what exactly, since all Ive dated are pretty much white guys. White people are not 'prizes' so whoever thinks they are really need to get their heads checked.
Reply:It's just somebody trying to be mean when they say that.
Reply:never heard this before...
Reply:Wow, that is just about the meanest thing I have EVER seen on here. Why would a person even think that way, and even go as far as to say it? Usually an upgrade means that I am dating someone that I find more of an interest in than the last, not the race of a girl.

Whenever I date someone I end up feeling like a psycho...?

Before I started dating, I felt pretty good about myself and quite "normal." Now that I am dating, I get really insecure and have the urge to stalk and do crazy stuff like that. Men used to respect me. Now after I get to know them by dating them, I start getting freaked out and scare them all away and look like the psycho girl to stay away from. Am I just one of those people that just shouldn't date?

Whenever I date someone I end up feeling like a psycho...?
I think you need to look within yourself and examine your self-esteem and self-worth. Are you dating guys that are taking advantage of you? Do they make you feel good about yourself? Do you make them feel good about themselves? Insecurity comes from self-esteem and self-worth issues. Look within yourself and figure out how you really feel about who you are and what you are worth and don't let someone else determine that for you.
Reply:....maybe a good visit with the local mental health facility therapist might help hun...who knows really?

I say if you absolutely actually feel this way emotionally about yourself darlin?.....well then YES babe....maybe there is something wrong with you possibly...agreed?

Wanting another date with him?

im 23 %26amp; i recently went out on a 2nd date with a man that is 50. i know most would say 50 is too old, but he's hot and doesnt look 50! I know he's been divorced and has some older kids and 2 younger ones. Our 1st date went ok, but he had to work a little harder to get a second date out of me %26amp; he did %26amp; now im the one who wants a 3rd! the 2nd date got a bit more personable like when we started talking about how my sister wants to have a kid %26amp; he said to worn her about the pain %26amp; mentioned it because he had recently passed a kidney stone. I said thatm must not have been fun %26amp; he went into details about how he had to stand over the pot %26amp; piss into a strainer %26amp; when he passed the stone, he missed the strainer %26amp; the stone hit the rim of the toilet %26amp; bounced off of it %26amp; i took him almost a 1/2 hour to find it again. weird story. i can see starting a family with this guy for some reason. i like older men %26amp; i can see myself with him. any opinons?

Wanting another date with him?
Well, age shouldn't matter. It doesn't matter to me, anyway. It sounds like you really like this guy, especially considering the strange conversation you two had. Don't get too carried away in looking into the future just yet. Remember, he's had more experience in this and how do you even know he wants to go through all that again? For a third date, don't get too obsessive, like calling him constantly. That may be a strong turn-off. Wait a bit, give him a call and see what happens. Usually, you shouldn't be the one to ask him, so try and hint at it. Good luck and I hope everything works out.
Reply:you really like him then be with him...that's all that matters ; )
Reply:you like this guy cuz he told about how he passed a stone?? this guy sounds pretty weird.

You should never paid that type of money to go out. The only people that you would get is gold digger. Tell your friend that is not funny would he or she stop. Tell them that you will go out on a date when you are ready to go on a date.
Reply:U are going to pay 5 g's for a date, dam u must be desperate
Reply:Lots of people date for $$. Those people are called escorts. Escorts are totally classy and highly thought of by society.
Reply:No

That sounds desperate

Dont pay for a date when you could pick a guy you liked and have dinner out for a couple of quid, dollars or whatever you use wherever your from.

Dont do it

A waste of money and a waste of time!

Cancel a date?

I'll summarize a long story. I've gone on a few dates with a guy I go to school with, and I've been somewhat interested up until last night. We randomly got drinks with some of my close friends and then went back to his place, and he went in for the first kiss. I dodged because things had gone so poorly with my friends earlier that night - they didn't care for him at all. I trust my friends' judgement (and my own!) and no longer want to see him. My problem lies in the fact that I have a date with him tonight that was scheduled a week ago, and I no longer want to go. I know that he really likes me, and I would like to get out of this situation before it becomes even more difficult. What is the best plan of action? Brute honesty or a fake cancellation followed by a clear lack of interest when I see him in class? I have never broken a date before, but leading him on is the last thing I want to do - should I go on the date tonight or should I not?

Cancel a date?
What you have to do depends on what kind of person he is. You should know that since you've been going out with him a few times and probably knows him at school. Does he appreciate brutal honesty? Does he prefer "hints" as opposed to direct confrontation? Can he handle the stress (and probably the shame) of getting a rejection? Is he abusive? If you can answer these questions, then you should be able to decide what you have to do.

If the guy is abusive, you obviously want to reject him in public (quietly of course) or over the phone, where you have enough safety. If he appreciates honestly, you should say it in his face (politely of course) that you don't think the relationship should go on. If he can't take brutal honesty, you probably should keep rejecting his dating invitation without actually telling him that you're not interested in him anymore.

There is one more thing that you should consider... how fast do you want to end the relationship with him? If you don't want this to drag on any longer, you just have to be brutally honest (in a nice way) without trying to do what is "best" for him.
Reply:Meet him tonight, have a drink with him and tell him how you really feel. He will appreciate you being honest and doing it to his face. Treat people the way you would like to be treated and you wont go far wrong.

It's also a good learning experience - facing up to something that's hard to do and dealing with confrontation, - it will make you stronger!
Reply:Yes, go and use it as your chance to speak to him and explain the situation. Just say that you don't wantt o take things further with him but you will speak to him when you see one another at school etc. You can slowly let that slip as well once things settle a bit but for now just let him down gently.

Today's date in Excel - keep the date?

I'd like to have today's date automaticly entered in a cell when you add a line(that I know how) but I'd like that date to stay what it was at the time of entry.

Basicly we're creating a list for our sales people where they have to log their job and we'd like to know when they've entered it (date and time) without them entering it (so that they can't cheat.

Thank you

Today's date in Excel - keep the date?
To do this, you'd need to use VB/macros.

Here's a link that might explain one approach to this:

http://www.vbaexpress.com/kb/getarticle....

description: Add date or time to a cell when a row (or column) is updated.

However, no amount of code is going to stop your sales people from saying "there was a typo, so I fixed it today, but I really entered it yesterday".
Reply:Use a combo of the "now" and "if" function. For example, could use

=IF(B9="","",NOW())

That way if data is entered in B9, the current date will appear.
Reply:In Excel, click on the Help Tab and read all about using Dates.

Works every time!!!

Stop xp from changing the date and time?

Hi,

I am chaging the date in Windows XP to earlier date (from BIOS), but after some time xp synchronizes to the current date.

Please note that:

I disabled the option "Automatically synchronizes with an internet time server"

Disabled windows time service.

changed the date in BIOS settings

Inspite of all these, the date is changed automatically to the correct date.

Is there any workaround for this?

It's probably getting the updated time from a server somewhere; if you only need it to be set back for a little, try dropping your internet connection to keep the time from updating on its own... otherwise it must still be set up to synchronize because it can't pull the correct time out of thin air. Good luck!
Reply:If you have automatic updates turned on then that will probably synchronize the time automatically also, you may need to turn that off.

Date ideas please?

okay so i have been dating thiis guy. hes planned the dates so far and they have been wonerful. This coming weekend we want to do something and he said that its my turn. i want to do something fun for him but i also want it to be quiet enough for us to talk. This guy is the sweetest and deserves the best date possible. Please help!

Date ideas please?
This all depends on what kind of day it is...if he is a romantic guy and it is a warm day, i would suggest a picnic this is always a winner...if it is a cold day or rainy, you should take him for dinner, somewhere not too too expensive, maybe even pay for him...and a guy will never turn down just putting in a movie and chilling on the couch...we just love being close to our girlfriends and there is nothing better than watching a good movie cuddled up on the couch...good luck with everything!!

Date ideas?

So Im dating this really great guy (we are gay).... He told me to plan our next date.... I have a day and time Friday around five..... Last time we went out to dinner and then went to the mall.... I want to do something fun.... Not just like the movies... Bowling and anything like that is out of the question... We are both young and looking for a good time.... It just needs to me special and a great date... Basically we both like to go shopping and out to dinner.... But I dont really want to go to dinner....

Date ideas?
I think going back to basics can be a lot of fun. When was the last time you went to the park? Get on the swings and all the slides that used to be really fun as a kid. You'd be surprised at how romantic something like that can be. ;-)
Reply:ok why not find a lake..that's near to some shopping mall..what u can do is have dinner outside...music from ur car...and just talk..

u see if u want something fun to do..u need to look at all the "bowling" line type of activities...

cause the rest is, ice skating...skate boarding conventions...bike riding....car races...
Reply:Here's a good time.

Hold hands and skip into a biker bar and announce you'd both like to redecorate the place.
Reply:Go shooting pool....

Thats always fun : )

Or to a indoor waterpark resort.

Or go work out : )

RockClimbing indoors

Go to like a game place for adults I don't know if theres one by you but Gameworks by us is cool

Can you pick the date of a direct debit payment?

Hi I'm wondering if companies/banks have to let you set a date of direct debit payments? I know you can request they are taken out on a certain date and most companies i have set them up with are fine with the dates i have chosen (just after pay day obv), however Virgin Media seem to have a problem with it. Despite several phone calls and being told each time "yes its not set up for x date, beginning next month", next month never seems to come and it is always taken just before i get paid.

I've tried looking on the net for info but i cant seem to find any, does any one know if companies have to agree to a date you choose or are they in control?

Thanks

Can you pick the date of a direct debit payment?
Well, you should be able to ask the company to pick a date agreeable to you, but sometimes it doesn't go quite according to plan. If it regularly comes out on a date which you don't want it to, I'd cancel the direct debit and set up a standing order, which you control (of course, this is only suitable for a regular, recurring payment for a fixed amount)
Reply:some companies will let you others only have set dates, there is no harm in asking the company when you set up dd with them

but if youve set up a date it should go out on that date the only time it might come out earlier is if it lands on a weekend or bank holiday when the banks are closed for business
Reply:Direct debits are applied for by the Originator company- in this case Virgin Media- via BACS and debit your account around 3 working days later. If they specify a date for collection, they will start the collection process 3 days before the debit date which can be any time in the month for most companies, usually a date that they set-this can usually be moved for your own convenience although this depends on the company.

They can only debit monies on or after the agreed date and need to give you 14 days notice of any amounts to be collected.

I had massive problems setting up a Direct debit with VM- the staff had very little understanding of how Direct debit works- I think this may be a training issue with that particular company. If I were you, I'd ask to speak to someone senior when dealing with Direct debits for Virgin media or you could be in for a massive headache.
Reply:if you know when it comes out you just have to leave the money in there to pay it! so whats the problem
Reply:as a general rule the first payment comes out approx 1 month after the agreement is started, you can then change the payment date to any date of the month and there will be a one-off adjustment
Reply:All my direct debits come out on the 1st of the month you get to choose a date when you set the D/D up but virgin media take their money on the 25th i cant get them to change it either so i leave enough money in for them to take the payment on the 25th
Reply:I think you can pick what week it comes out (like whether its the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th week) but i don't think you can specify a particular date
Reply:you should be able to pick a date .it does not really matter long as the money gets there.cause you are saving on the paper work. This V.M.place seems to be giving you the run around, you should call the manager and speak directly to them and find out just whats going down.
Reply:yes you can, when you go onto your checking account on line it will or should ask you for that and you can enter in the date and it should also ask you if this is a one time debit or will it be monthly on this date. Hope this helps you
Reply:yes definately I do it for the morgage

My due date from a doctors office was sept.14,07...but my EDD due date was sept.23,07..whn did i get pregant?
okay, when you become pregnant a hormone is released and comes out in your urine. Some pregnancy tests are more sensitive to this hormone and will tell you sooner than others. When you go to a doctor they will ask you when your last period was and calculate from that forty weeks gestation. There is no perfect way to say I got pregnant on this day.

Now when you are futher along the doc will measure you stomach and estimate how many weeks you are. They will also do a sonogram and estimate from the size of the baby and the size of your uterus how far along you are.

Through out the pregnancy your due date can vary from a few days to a few weeks.

Truth be told a due date is an estimated guess and the baby will come when it is ready. As far as telling you when you got pregnant, if all sex was unprotected then you could have gotten pregnant the day your period was over. It all depends on when you ovulate and when you are most fertile.
Reply:It is always hard to give an exact date. I would say your EDD is 14th September. This is only estimated tho, everyone is different. It said that normally you can go 2 weeks either side of your due date. With my first daughter, now 2, my EDD was 12th nov and I had her on 30th Oct. I'm 34weeks pregnant and my EDD is 1st March and I've been having loads of Braxton Hicks contractions for the last 2weeks, everyone has been saying they think I will deliver before the 1st. The best thing you can do is wait for your 12week scan, they will tell you how pregnant you are and that will be the date the midwifes use.

Good luck xx
Reply:You can find out for yourself when the baby is due. Look at when you had your last period. Just count back 3 months from the first day of your last period, and then add on 7 days. Suppose your last period began on April 20. Count back 3 months, January 20, then add on 7 days. Your baby is due on January 27.
Reply:the date the doctor tells you is only a guess around about the time just say mis sept. and be prepared a month ahead
Reply:For now, say your due date is September. As the baby grows, they can better guess a due date by the baby's size and measurements. If your last period was Dec 8th, you prolly got pregnant around the 22nd, implantation took a few days, so it didn't register on a test on the 28th. However it happened, due dates are just good guesses.
Reply:First day of last menstrual period: December 8, 2006

Estimated date of conception: Friday, December 22, 2006

End of 1st trimester (12 weeks): Friday, March 2, 2007

End of 2nd trimester (27 weeks): Friday, June 15, 2007

Estimated Due Date: September 14, 2007

(I done the above by using your last period, always go by your last period. I think your doctor is right on the due date)

Good luck and Congrats

"Out Of Date" music?

How can I coordinate a date for a group of people to agree to meet on?

I've put together a book club but when I email them to choose between dates, I get so many responses of that won't work and they give me an alternative date which doesn't work for some of the others. So last time I finally put my foot down and pretended most people chose X date and went with that, knowing some would not be able to make it. This time I thought to simplify the process by jumping ahead and choosing a date myself and then I sent an email informing everyone of it. I got a nasty email back from one of the members stating that she and her friends (about half the group members) would be bowing out since I haven't consulted with them first on the date. i emailed back that I had misunderstood another email, that it wasn't in stone, i'll wait to hear back from them (I've been waiting for 2 weeks and got impatient bec. i have to reserve a room for the group). So how do people go about choosing a date when they arrnage a meeting, with so many people's schedules to consider???help!!

How can I coordinate a date for a group of people to agree to meet on?
You will never be able to please ALL of the people, ALL of the time! I suggest you email the members, with a tentative date, and sort-of give some kind of 'agenda' which will include 'how we schedule a date for meetings!' This should give them an incentive to attend. It will also give YOU an opportunity to reschedule to the majority. Those that STILL can't attend could eMail you with their opinions / suggestions.

You could also offer the job to someone else, if they feel they can do a better job! (This usually silences a LOT of people who don't want the responsibility, but still want to complain.
Reply:Someone has to decide a head of time and the best way to do that is when everyone is together. At the next meeting decide how to go about scheduling in the future. I would suggest you make it the same night each month. Say for example the 2nd Thursday of every month. That way people can plan around the meeting, instead of planning the meeting around everything else.

I need dating advice... this guy sort of asked me out on a date. how do I keep him interested in me?

I met him about a month ago and he was very straighfoward about me being attractive. It wasn't until last week that we started texting each other, and we've been flirting with each other... he implied he wanted to go out on a date and I asked him if he was asking me out on a date and he said yes. We stablished the fact that we are attracted to each other, but have not set a date. I like the guy, but I am afraid to show him that I am extremely interested in him, how do I keep him from losing interest in me?

Should I date girls I don't like?

Okay I know this is a doosey of a question. My roommate and I have lots of mutual girlfriends (in the sense that they are girls and our friends). The other day he was saying he has a problem because he likes so many of them and can't choose which to date. I told him I have the opposite problem- that I don't really like any of them that way, and can't really imagine liking them.

He informed me that I am not currently dating, that dating isn't such a big deal anyway, and since there's really no one I like at the moment, I should just start dating some of these girls anyway because a relationship *could* evolve.

Do you agree with this, or what other advice would you advize?

Should I date girls I don't like?
What is the point o dating someone you do not like in that way. If you like them as a friend only then keep it as friends. Prior to marriage I had male friends that we would grab a bite to eat or catch a movie. We split the bill as I was not looking to date them or have them feel I was taking advantage. We talked about guys I liked or a date I went on and they also talked about a girl they went on a date with or liked. Being honest is a better way to go. If you are not interested in dating either girl then why loose the friendship?

Your friend is into head games and his way of thinking is what makes him a jerk. No one likes there feelings played with, there time wasted, or being used.
Reply:my advice is : get to know them better as friends. If by then you start liking some of them, then ask them out. If not, it is silly to put yourself in a weird situations "just because you should start dating". Dating who - girls you dont like? Then where is all the fun of actually going on a date if you are going to go with a girl you cant even imagine kissing or holding hands?

Trust me, kissing a frog with the hope she´ll turn into a princess works only in Disney movies!

Hang out with them more, if nothing changes on that neutral ground, nothing is going to change on a date either.
Reply:If you don't LIKE them...don't date them; it's a big cheat for them and you! WHO do you like? Ask her or him! What your friend has to say has NOTHING to do with you! If you like women in general... look at who looks GOOD to you! Is she looking back? If not...move ON! Keep an eye out for the reciprocal EYE... appearance doesn't matter... look for the one who thinks you're the best! You will be amazed! Women LIKE men and there are LOTS of us out here! Have FUN! Happy Holidays! Hugs, Gina C.
Reply:No mostly, because if you are going to be dating a girl because you bored then what is she spose to think. It hurts girls alot if they find out that you are dating them but you don't like them. They can sometimes feel used because you are getting sex and nothing else. If you just want sex I would say find a f@#k buddy instead it makes the commitment less for both of you.
Reply:don't just date someone to date someone - if you liked one of them i would say go for it but since you don't it would just make things awkward eventually you will find someone you will want to date
Reply:no
Reply:You should date for the social value.
Reply:No, don't do that if you don't like them. You are giving those girls the idea that you like them. You will lose them as your friends if things go bad with the dating. Go find a girl you are attracted to.
Reply:How do you know you don't like them? You're not dating anyone by your own words, so beggars can't be choosers. Go out with one of these girls you don't really know but don't like. Maybe once you get to see them as people there might be something there you like.
Reply:NO omg that is so wrong
