Due date keeps changing, is this normal?

Hi, Ive been given several due dates from 30th Sept to 15th Oct. This seems like such a leap so Im not sure what to beleive! I work it out as the 3rd Oct, as I know my dates and when we started trying.

Also every time my bump is measured they say the baby is on the big side (heading for 9 pounds if I carry full term) and so will probably come a few weeks early!?

Is it anything to worry about that the due date has changed so much? I worry that if the baby doesn't come on time naturally (Shes still breach and Im 35 weeks) I could have to wait until the end of October to be induced but the original due date was end of September!?

Due date keeps changing, is this normal?
A "due date" is just an estimate, anyway. It's perfectly normal to deliver within two weeks either way of the due date, which gives a range of 4 weeks. This is true even with advanced medical techniques.

Most babies who "don't come on time" are the result of faulty due dates, NOT faulty mothers or babies.

I know that the waiting sucks, but you'll give birth when your body and the baby's body are healthy.

(I also wouldn't worry TOO much about being breech - lots of babies turn at the last minute.)
Reply:If your baby is breach, then measurements of his size may not be accurate.

Also, check this out on due dates:

I wouldn't worry that your due date has changed so much. Actually, your due date hasn't changed, but your healthcare provider's *opinion* of your due date has changed. It is annoying, I know. What I would do is, if you are pretty sure of your dates, stick to your calendar dates.

Your body *will* go into labor when the baby is ready to be born.
Reply:my due date is Sept. 7. i had an ultrasound on Monday that estimated my baby's weight at 8 lb 12 oz already. my doctor said they're not allowed to "do anything electively" until 39 weeks. i told her i was afraid to give birth to a 10 lb baby, she understood, and scheduled an induction for Sept. 4. my baby should be about 9 lb 2 oz by then, but i think i can handle that.

hopefully your doctor will do an ultrasound in a few weeks, and if your baby still measures big, maybe your doctor will be as understanding as mine.
Reply:IT IS NORMAL FOR SOME DATES TO CHANGE LIKE MYSELF MY DOCTOR GAVE ME A DUE DATE OF SEP.6 OF 2006 AND THE SPECALIST OF THE ULTRASOUND GAVE ME ONE OF AUGUST THE 31 2006 AND MY SON WAS BORN THAT DAY {31} WEID BUT ITS NORMAL
