Gay Date Etiquette: Is it rude to check out other gay man on the date?

Please help me, I am confused!

Is it rude to "glance at" or "checking out" or "flirt" with others (waiters, pedestrians, and ads) while you have your date next to you?

And if my date do so, should I take it as "not-intereted-in-you" gesture? or should I ignore it as just as his habit?

Its considered as a rude attitude if it were a straight date, yeah?

Gay Date Etiquette: Is it rude to check out other gay man on the date?
It's rude regardless of sexual orientation
Reply:Thank you guys for the comments. Ive learn that regardless of the norm, or my friends' ideas, its important to trust my gut. Report It

Reply:if you are on a date, you should not be checking out other people at all
Reply:Gay or not, it's rude to check out other people when you're on a date.
Reply:I am gay, not dead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking will always be a part of me, now touching on a date, that is quite a different story. I have a little dignity left in me, and I would respect the person I was with, but not looking, that I will never be able to stop!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:Although gay men are naturally more flirtatious, overtly checking out other men while on a romantic date is not okay. Especially if it makes you unhappy. Some gay couples enjoy "open" relationships, but not all of them. If you are a young man who wants to be treated a little more special then you should make that very clear to the person you are interested in. Then, if his behavior doesn't improve, it's not going to be a match you'll be happy in.
Reply:It's rude regardless of what sexual orientation you are.
Reply:its extremely rude, but alas many people have come to comform with the idea that its A-ok
Reply:My opinion, i think to a certain extent it is rude. if you are starring and not paying attention to your date and conversation then it is definitely rude. if you look over and notice then i would have to say that's just natural.
Reply:It is very rude. If my date did that to me, I'd smile, say "I'll be right back" and then left him in the restaurant to pick up the check.
