First date question, protocols after a guy has arranged a date with a girl and what to do after coffee.?

Ok, heres the deal...during the first date with a girl, and after having all the small talk. I usually wait for the girl to arrange for something to do like go for a quick walk somewhere, or is it my role to arrange for something to do during the first date when everythings going well. and the coffeee has been drunk.

or is it best to keep it exactly a 45 minute meeting, usually I just ask if they wanted to hook up for thirty minutes, but it always ends up lasting longer.

what is the best reason to go for a "walk" after the coffee...or what would be a good first date walk together

First date question, protocols after a guy has arranged a date with a girl and what to do after coffee.?
The thing about dating is that its supposed to be fun and enjoyable for both. Overthinking, overanalyzing, and overplanning can sometimes ruin the good time involved. Throw out the numbers, toss the blueprints. After coffee, it doesn't matter who decides what to do next. You could go for a walk down the street. You can call it a night. You could go do whatever. The point is, whomever is making the plans shouldn't worry too much about it. Sometimes you just have to play it by ear. A little sponteneity never hurt. If you're deciding that you want to go for a walk after having coffee, simply bring it up casually to her. If she agrees, good on you. If not, ask her what she wants to do instead. However, you may want to ask her what she wants to do before you decide what to do. It shows your gentleman-like qualities, in allowing her to choose. If she's indecisive, then make the plans. It shows that you take initiative. Don't stress on how long a date should be. Don't worry about impressing her too much. Just go out and have a good time. You'll come to find that sometimes, randomness can be good for you. The future is unpredictable, so why try? Just enjoy yourself, and make sure she's enjoying herself.
Reply:The best reason I can think of to go for a walk is if you have something interesting to show her like a city park with the flowers in bloom...or like I used to live on the Pacific Ocean...

If you go for coffee and you enjoy her company you could ask if she's had anything to eat and would she be interested in grabbing a burger or anything. You could buy a loaf of bread and feed the birds.
