Stop xp from changing the date and time?

Hi,

I am chaging the date in Windows XP to earlier date (from BIOS), but after some time xp synchronizes to the current date.

Please note that:

I disabled the option "Automatically synchronizes with an internet time server"

Disabled windows time service.

changed the date in BIOS settings

Inspite of all these, the date is changed automatically to the correct date.

Is there any workaround for this?

It's probably getting the updated time from a server somewhere; if you only need it to be set back for a little, try dropping your internet connection to keep the time from updating on its own... otherwise it must still be set up to synchronize because it can't pull the correct time out of thin air. Good luck!
Reply:If you have automatic updates turned on then that will probably synchronize the time automatically also, you may need to turn that off.
