Date problems. Please help? Who do I go with? read all details.?

Okay, so I'm a freshman in highschool. and I am in ROTC.We have a military ball coming up on february 29. Now, I was having problems getting a date. This guy corey asked me to go. Now i said yes cuz i needed a date, and i told him it's just as friends. Nothing more. But now.. this guy Kevin who I really like. I mean i like him as more than friends asked me to go with him And I really want to go with him. But i already said yes to corey. Is there ANY WAY POSSIBLE for me to get out of going with corey.. and not being an asshole?? probably not right? but if you have any suggestions please help!














the thing is.. if i keep the date with corey it's not fair to him because i'll be thinking about how i shoulda went with kevin.. and how i shoulda waited for him and crap.. and i won't be excited about going with corey.. so i won't be much fun with him.

Sometimes in life you have to forget about what other ppl think and do what makes you happy. Sounds to me that if you go with Corey you are going to have a bad time, and you shouldn't feel that way. Just tell Corey how you feel and if he accepts it then he really is a good friend, but if he gets made and won't talk to you anymore...I doubt he was really your friend to begin with and you're probably better off w/o him.

Reply:This is a place where integrity comes into play. You should go with the first person you said yes to, AND you should enjoy the date, or at least look like it. If you break that date and go with someone else, you will look like an @sshole not only to him but to Kevin any anyone else who hears about it too (and beleive me, they will).





You can tell Kevin you already said yes to someone else for that event, but you'd love to get together with him sometime. This will raise your status in his eyes because he will realize you are a person of integrity.





Any other answer is just plain wrong.
Reply:Keep your date with Corey, he knows it is just as friends, but you already committed and don't want to hurt his feelings. Have fun with him, he's your friend right? Next, tell Kevin you already committed to go with your friend Corey, but that you would like to go out some other time. He should respect that you are open and honest and want to take you out an other time.

Reply:Sounds like you're in a tight bind, but it is nice to see that you still care about other people's feelings. Personally, I think you should tell Corey the truth. I mean, you never know, he might ask someone else to go and end up being there and see you with this other guy and get upset. You should be true to yourself and sadly, sometimes that means hurting someone else. Just explain to Corey that you only like him as a friend and you agreed to go with him as friends, but now you have an opportunity to go with someone who you like as more than a friend and that you really hope he understands. You would think a guy would hate you after this, but guys love the thrill of chasing unattainable women, so he will most likely be ok with it. I think you should just be as honest as possible to all parties involved. Plus this event is a long ways away, plenty of time for Corey to ask someone else. Just don't wait until the last minute to tell him, that would be wrong. Also, if you didn't give Kevin an answer yet, make sure he is still available to go with you before you back out with Corey. Reply:Since you told corey it was only friends then you need to be honest with corey and tell him this guy i am interested in ask me..And that you were sorry.You need to go with Kevin since you really like him..Just be honest and it will be ok.
Reply:You can be honest with Corey - Feb 29th is still pretty far off - you can offer to help him get a date - if he needs that kind of help - you can apologize sincerely. But be sure Kevin has already lined up another date before you dump Bachelor #1 because Bachelor #2 may already have lined up a date with Bachlorette #2.
