Can I date my "EX's" friend, if we only dated casually?

I'm a 25 y/o PhD student, single for 3 yrs. I get hit on often, but don't find many guys that I connect with intellectually, so don’t date much. I'm on the volleyball team at our university, %26amp; last month I joined the team for what led to a drunken night. I ended up sleeping with a guy from the men's team who is 5 yrs younger than me. He's sweet, %26amp; neither of us normally hooks up randomly, so we decided to date. (Casually, since we're both busy.) We got along okay, %26amp; slept together a few more times. Eventually, he became distant, %26amp; I was surprised, but not disappointed, as we didn't have much in common. But, the last time we hung out, I met a friend of his, %26amp; felt an instant connection, but ignored it. The young guy ended up blowing me off completely. I've since run into his friend at the bar a few times, %26amp; we hit it off. He's older than me, has a PhD, %26amp; we have a lot in common. He knows all about guy #1 %26amp; I, but I think he wants to ask me out anyway. Would it be OK to date guy #2?

i think its fine, as its all out in the open. The other guy moved on so you are free to see who you choose and as long as they are not best buddies it should be fine. Connections with people are rare so you should not throw away your chance at happiness maybe you met the other guy for a reason so that you could eventually meet this new guy

Reply:Yeah, but you'd probably be talked about in those bars as if you are a tramp. At least be sure you take it slow with Mr. PhD, and try not to hang out in the places where Young Guy patronizes. Keep in mind that #2 may just want in your pants since he knows you let the youngster in.





Just take it slow if he does ask you out. Why rush to bed?
