Go get a book called " what to expect when you are expecting" by Heidi Murkoff. It's the pregnancy bible and will help with all these questions. Your question as well as many others that you would not expect is in there. It's excellent in describing all of these little things that worry moms and help distinguish when something is "normal" or not.

Reply:your second trimester begins at week 12 and your third begins at week 24..you split 9 months into thirds...not that hard
Reply:The reason it is called trimester is because the gestation period is divided into three parts. Take the nine months and divide into three month segments. Those are your trimesters. In other words:


1st is June 11 to Sept 10


2nd is Sept 11 to Dec 10


3rd is Dec 11 to Mar 4 or whenever the baby is born
Reply:Your first trimester ends on your 12 week so you have one more week till you are in your second trimester. Your your third trimester will start about December 3rd. there is a really good site that I used when I was pregnant its called babycenter.com. you type in your conception date and or your due date and it gives you a calendar of what is going on in your pregnancy in that week.
Reply:Your first trimester is 13 weeks long. Try visiting www.storknet.com. They have a week by week guide for pregnancy. The 13 weeks start from the first day of your last menstral period. I had my last period on May 1st, conceived around the 15th of May, my due date is Feb 5th and my second trimester started on July 31st. Hope this helps.
