Upgrade to date ww? downgrade to date bw?

how come it's considered an upgrade for a bm to date a ww, but when i wm dates a bw, it's considered a downgrade or dating "beneath himself?"

Reply:I have heard this before and I think it stems from the racist ideas and practices that go back centuries ago here in the USA. Im a black woman who dates white men and I NEVER feel its an upgrade to date white men..... an upgrade from what exactly, since all Ive dated are pretty much white guys. White people are not 'prizes' so whoever thinks they are really need to get their heads checked.

Reply:Wow, that is just about the meanest thing I have EVER seen on here. Why would a person even think that way, and even go as far as to say it? Usually an upgrade means that I am dating someone that I find more of an interest in than the last, not the race of a girl.
