Can a creditor change the date of last acitivity to the date you filed bankruptcy on you credit report.?

once the date was changed the items stays on my repiort longer. I also had an account on my report reflecting the date of last acitvity to be 12-2000 and when the 7 years was reach it came off came back on the following month with the date of last activity changed to my bankruptcy date. is it against the law to change dates and remove items and put them back on.

Can a creditor change the date of last acitivity to the date you filed bankruptcy on you credit report.?
Yes that is illegal. It's called reaging and is a violation of the FCRA. They are just asking for a $1000 lawsuit.
Reply:It's probably illegal. You should write in to the credit reporting agencies to contest the date change.
