Date of birth problem?
It would depend entirely on what sort of immigrant visa petition has been filed on your behalf. If you are being petitioned as the minor child of an American citizen or a legal permanent resident, being over 21 will likely put you in a different visa category. And that in turn, could affect the priority date of your petition. For example, if you are under 21 and the child of an American citizen, then you would be in the IR-2 category. IR stands for immediate relative and there is no waiting period for people in that category. However, if you are now over 21, then you would fall into the F-1 immigrant visa category as the adult son of an American, and at the moment, that would very likely keep you from being processed as an immigrant at this time. The priority date for F-1 petitions is currently 8 December 2001, which means that only petitions filed on or before that date are considered valid for immigration into the US. So, this could be a serious problem for you.
Reply:ya. inform them, it could cause serious problems.
Reply:Get it sorted, there maybe another person with the same name, born the same year, he could also have a warrant out for his arrest.

Is known to happen
Reply:You should call them directly to deal with this-and make sure they sent you written confirmation that the issue was fixed. Its very important for you to have any type of documentation possible. Good luck
