Help! I have a date tomorrow in Germany!?

Okay, I'm American and I'm currently living in Germany. Someone has asked me on a date for tomorrow night, but I'm not sure what German date etiquette is! What is customary for a first date? Should I expect him to pay, should I offer, is it rude for me to offer or not offer? We just met yesterday at a pub, and he asked me via e-mail. How should I greet him? How does the date normally end?

Basically I'm clueless about dating in Germany, and I'd like some general tips...

Thanks!!

I think its thesame customs as American customs. I dont think theres much of a big difference. Just be yourself
Reply:know where you're going, make sure it's in a public place, tell friends and relatives where you will be going, get their license plate and check them out thoroughly before you go out. Be sure and take your credit card (in case you get stuck paying, or in case you have to get a cab to get yourself home) and take a phone card with you in case you need to call for friends. Since you met at a pub he may think you drink a lot and either try to make you drink again (don't do it) or put something in your drink. Be very careful. These are the rules for dating anyone new, not just for Germany. It would have been better if he asked you in person instead of by email. A person writing email could be anyone, maybe not him. Save the email and the ISP from it for future reference. Why not have a friend follow you there from a distance?
Reply:He invited you...he pays. End the date with a handshake unless things have gone very well and you are comfortable enough to go for the kiss goodnight.
Reply:Don't worry about the diferences and etiquette. Just be yourself. If he likes you or doesn't like you, at least it's for you.
Reply:first when you finish kiss him and it will be a good start to continue i think so
