Going out on a date with a friend.?

I asked my friend out on a date, she told me she only liked me as a friend.





After talking with her a little bit, I've convinced her to try going out on a date with me once, and if its too awkward, I wont ask again.





I need some advice on how I can keep the date light and not awkward yet it still be a 'date.' I figure that if I can show her a good time, she will be inclined to go out with me again. Opening up the door out of the 'friend zone.'





One of the reasons why she feels it will be awkward is because she doesn't hang out with her guy friends one on one too often.





Any ideas on what I can do during the date to keep it un-awkward? We plan on seeing a movie and going out to eat but if you have any better suggestions, hit me up!
